Scallywag Models is now pleased to announce that we are now offering fixed wing turbine training. Two options are available, an hourly rate, or a complete days experience.

Spend a day filled with hospitality, education, briefings and flying.
Due to the nature of the machinery we will offer a lead-in package to fully prepare you for the buzz of flying a model turbine. This will consist of breakfast followed with some PowerPoint briefings and safety information. We want you to enjoy the day with us, so rather than scaring yourself at the start of the day, you will fly other models as well as the turbine, a fully enhanced day.
Falcon 120
As an introduction we may get you to fly a pattern ship, this allows you condition yourself to flying a model at speed whilst familiarising yourself with our flying facility and settling into the day.
We also recommend flying the Falcon 120; this has an OS160 pusher and all the characteristics of the turbine, without the fear factor.
For the main event; the Boomerang Sprint airframe fitted with a Jetcat P80 turbine, a perfect combination from low speed approaches to flat out performance, it ticks all the boxes.
At the end of the day you will be de-briefed and a good opportunity exists for a photo call. Your input is valued and any opinion you have of the day is extremely important to us so that, when you wish to return, the day is a memorable one.
